This site sets no cookies. There is no banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to.

What that means concretely

Every page here is a static file. None of them carries a script: no analytics tag, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no embedded video or map that would drop something on the way past. Nothing is written to local storage either.

Visits are counted by Cloudflare from the request itself, at the edge, before the page reaches you. That happens without anything running on your machine and without an identifier that follows you anywhere. It tells us a page was fetched. It cannot tell us who fetched it.

What will change when the shop opens

A shop has to remember a basket between one page and the next, and that needs a cookie. When the shop opens it will set exactly one, holding a cart identifier and nothing else. It identifies a basket rather than a person, it is first-party, and it is strictly necessary for the site to function, which is the one category that does not require consent under Canadian or European rules.

Checkout is operated by our payment processor, which sets its own cookies for fraud screening and to keep you signed in through the payment step. Those are on their pages rather than ours, and their policy governs them.

No advertising or remarketing cookie will be set at any point. That is a decision rather than an oversight: the privacy page makes a specific promise about not building a profile, and a remarketing tag would make it a lie.

Blocking them

Every browser can refuse cookies, and there is nothing on this site today that would notice. Once the shop opens, refusing the cart cookie means the basket empties between pages, which is the only thing that breaks.
