Peaberry collects what an order needs and nothing else. Nothing here is sold, nothing is shared with an advertising network, and no profile is built about you across other websites.

While the shop is closed

This site is a set of static files. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser, and carries no script at all: no analytics tag, no advertising pixel, no session recorder. Visits are counted by Cloudflare from the request itself, at the edge, before the page is served. Nothing runs on your machine to make that happen, there is no identifier to follow you between sites, and what we see is that a page was fetched. We cannot tell who fetched it.

If you email to ask about the launch, we keep your address in order to send that one message. There is no newsletter behind it. Ask us to delete it at any point and it goes.

Once the shop opens

Buying something requires a name, a delivery address, an email address and a payment. Here is where each part goes.

Payment details

We never see them. Card numbers are entered on a payment page operated by our payment processor and go straight to them. Peaberry receives a confirmation, the last four digits and the card brand, which is what an order record and a refund need. The full number does not reach our systems at any point.

Your address

Given to the courier so they can deliver the parcel, and kept with the order because tax and consumer law require a record of what was sold, to whom and where.

Your email address

Used for the order confirmation, the shipping notice and anything that goes wrong with your order. Marketing email is a separate decision: it requires you to opt in, it requires you to confirm that opt-in by clicking a link we send, and the exact sentence you agreed to is stored with your record along with the date. Under Canada's anti-spam legislation the burden of proving consent is on the sender, and a checkbox on its own does not discharge it.

Who else sees it

Four kinds of company, each doing one job.

• The commerce platform, which holds the catalogue, the cart and the order record.
• The payment processor, which handles the card.
• The couriers, which get the name, address and phone number needed to deliver a parcel.
• The roasters, when beans ship directly from where they were roasted, which get the delivery address and nothing more.

Nobody on that list is permitted to use your details for their own marketing. Nobody else gets them. Peaberry does not sell personal information and has no advertising pixels on any page.

How long it is kept

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. Email addresses on the marketing list are kept until you unsubscribe, and the unsubscribe link never acts on a page load: mail scanners follow every link in a message within seconds of delivery, and a link that unsubscribed on a GET would remove people who never asked to leave.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to hello@antipodetech.com and we will answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
